Hace poco tiempo WhatsApp hizo oficial lo que desde hace mucho tiempo se venía conociendo y es los mensajes que se autodestruyen.
Sin embargo, la sorpresa de muchos es que está nueva función de la aplicación de mensajería instantánea cuenta con muchas limitantes, al punto de hacer casi inservible la alternativa.
Principales críticas
En un principio se pensaba que los mensajes que se autodestruyen en WhatsApp iban a tener una temporalidad más personalizada y de menor duración. Por eso cuando muchos vieron que la caducidad iba a ser de 7 días, la desilusión fue tal que sencillamente no se toma en cuenta como una atractiva opción.
Si las intenciones de la temporalidad de los mensajes estaban ligadas a la privacidad, pues con esas limitaciones muy poco se logra debido a que en 7 días el mensaje puede ser reenviado a otro chat, guardado en una captura de pantalla e incluso registrado en la nube con una exportación de chat.
Comparaciones con Telegram
La similitudes con la aplicación de mensajería instantánea, Telegram, son obligatorias, y más cuando está plataforma permite más opciones en los mensajes que se autodestruyen.
En Telegram el usuario puede personalizar si su mensaje se destruye a los 7, 15, 30 y 60 segundos luego de ser leído. Además durante ese período no se podrá hacerle captura de pantalla ni reenviarlo a otro chat.
Por eso con respecto a la privacidad, la plataforma de Telegram es mucho mejor a WhatsApp en ese sentido.
De igual forma, que WhatsApp haya aterrizado los mensajes autodestructivos en su plataforma es a penas un avance, más lento de lo que se esperaba, pero que al final puede tener muchas modificaciones para su optimización.
