During the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic, Facebook has become an obligatory reference platform.

But the amount of distorted or out-of-proportion information running on that platform is impressive as well.

So now they have implemented a new feature that will be activated every time a user tries to share an article among their contacts through their wall.

Broadly speaking, when a note is shared a warning and context window will appear, showing information about the origin of the hyperlink.

The notification will help people understand the timeliness and source of the content before they share it.

It will also direct people to our COVID-19 Information Center to ensure that people have access to credible information about COVID-19 from global health authorities.

That's what Facebook is pointing to in their Newsroom where they are showing in detail how this new warning notice operates.

Since March of this year we have seen how the social network has been implementing new measures to help contain misinformation about the pandemic.

Even recently it went so far as to block publications by U.S. President Donald Trump for sharing unreliable content about the contingency.
