Y es que en algún punto de la larga presentación al hablar sobre Android y su capa de personalización One UI, mencionaron que ahora la familia Galaxy recibiría tres años de actualizaciones.
Lo que no se sabía bien es si se referían a tres años de cambios en One UI o tres rondas de actualización de Android.
Y ahora podemos confirmar que la declaración aludía al segundo escenario. Lo cuál es una excelente noticia.
Tradicionalmente Samsung sólo otorgaba dos años de actualizaciones a los dispositivos de la familia Galaxy, la más popular de la marca muy probablemente.
Pero ahora, según los colegas de SamMobile, Samsung ha confirmado oficialmente que dará cobertura de tres años de actualizaciones a Android en todos sus nuevos dispositivos Galaxy.
Esto quiere decir que tu Galaxy S20 con Android 10 se actualizaría a las siguientes tres versiones de Android que conoceremos en el próximo trienio.
La buena noticia es que esta ampliación de cobertura no sólo aplica a la rama S. Sino que también los Galaxy Note, Galaxy Z y hasta algunos modelos selectos del Galaxy A recibirán el mismo tratamiento.
En el caso de la gama Galaxy A hay limitaciones de hardware que impedirían garantizar el soporte de Android por tres años.
Pero se trata en realidad de un importante cambio.
