Google Drive es una herramienta que a lo largo del tiempo se ha convertido en el principal almacén de los usuarios del mundo. Y no solo eso, pues la herramienta de Google ha experimentado diferentes cambios, convirtiéndose en una especie de oficina online con la integración de documentos, hojas de cálculos y otras multitudes de funciones, de las cuales muchas de ellas quizás no conocías.

Abrir otras apps que no sean de Google

Al momento de abrir un documento con Drive de manera automática se abre con alguna aplicación de Google, bien sea Google Docs, Googles Fotos, entre otros. Pero lo que muchos no saben es que Drive te permite cambiarlas por otra.
Para hacerlo debemos ir al botón “Nuevo” y luego elegir “Más” en el menú. Ahí deberán aparecer las aplicaciones instaladas que puedes usar. También puedes añadir otras pulsando en “Conectar más aplicaciones”. Deberá aparecerte una ventana en la que podrás seleccionar docenas de programas de terceros compatibles con Google Drive.

Almacenar contenido web

Seguramente te ha pasado que mientras navegas en diferentes páginas en internet encuentras algún contenido que te gustaría conservar. Google Drive te ayuda a guardar cualquier contenido web que desees con solo presionar un botón.
Solo necesitas instalar la extensión de Google Chrome llamada Save to Google Drive. Cada vez que veas un contenido que te guste con solo presionar el icono de la extensión se guardará automáticamente en tu Drive.



Crear una copia de seguridad del disco duro

Una excelente función de Google Drive para ordenador es el backup de discos duros a la nube la cal permite copiar todo el contenido de tus discos duros, cámaras o tarjetas SD a Google Drive. Esto se realiza mediante una copia de seguridad y sincronización de la aplicación. Por supuesto, debes tener instalado Google Drive en tu ordenador.
Debes ir al buscador de Windows y poner Backup and Soync from Google. En la esquina de abajo del lado derecho de la barra de tareas de Windows, por donde se encuentra la hora y fecha, aparece un icono en forma de nube y harás click. Al entrar al menú accederás a las opciones de seguridad y sincronización. Ahí deberás escoger la careta de tu disco duro para comenzar la sincronización en la nube de Google Drive.
