La función para poder bloquear tus chats se llama App Lock (Bloqueo de App) y ya está disponible en la actualización más reciente de Messenger para iPhone y otros dispositivos iOS; se espera que próximamente también sea integrada para todos los equipos Android.
“Esta característica opcional te da la seguridad de saber que, si un amigo y familiar necesita que le prestes tu teléfono, no podrá acceder a tus chats”, explica Facebook.

App Lock es muy sencillo de habilitar, ya que lo encontrarás dentro de las opciones de Privacidad de Messenger, sólo debes elegir la opción y seleccionar cada cuando te será solicitada tu huella o tu rostro para desbloquear tus chats.

Facebook quiere incluir más funciones que ya están presentes en otras de sus apps, por ello ha revelado que se encuentra trabajando en habilitar opciones similares a las de Instagram y WhatsApp para elegir quién hace contacto contigo en Messenger y si su contenido puede previsualizarse.
