Recientemente un virus malicioso ha aparecido dentro de diferentes apps que instalamos normalmente en nuestro Android.
“Joker es una de las familias de malware más importantes que se dirige continuamente a los dispositivos Android. A pesar del conocimiento de este malware en particular, sigue encontrando su camino en el mercado oficial de aplicaciones de Google al emplear cambios en su código, métodos de ejecución o técnicas de recuperación de carga útil”, explican desde Zscaler.
Este software está diseñado para robar SMS, listas de contactos e información del dispositivo, además de registrar “silenciosamente” a la víctima en servicios premium de pago no deseados sin su conocimiento.
El equipo de investigación de Zscaler, ha identificado 16 aplicaciones con el virus subidas a la tienda de Google en septiembre, que antes de ser retiradas consiguieron alrededor de 120.000 descargas.
Las aplicaciones infectadas descubiertas en la tienda de Google Play son: All Good PDF Scanner, Mint Leaf Message-Your Private Message, Unique Keyboard – Fancy Fonts & Free Emoticons, Tangram App Lock, Direct Messenger, Private SMS, One Sentence Translator – Multifunctional Translator, Style Photo Collage, Meticulous Scanner, Desire Translate, Talent Photo Editor – Blur focus, Care Message, Part Message, Paper Doc Scanner, Blue Scanner, Hummingbird PDF, Converter – Photo to PDF y All Good PDF Scanner.
Por lo anterior, debes de tener mucho cuidado a la hora de instalar aplicaciones en tu andriod y cederles permiso para actuar.

This software is designed to steal SMS, contact lists and device information, in addition to "silently" registering the victim in unwanted premium payment services without their knowledge.
Zscaler's research team has identified 16 applications with the virus uploaded to the Google store in September, which before being withdrawn obtained around 120,000 downloads.
